Finally a plus size model won, its nice to see someone
representing REAL women, not all women are size 6′s.
Not sayin theirs anything wrong with them, but its nice to see someone who can represent 99% of the worlds women.

    Go whitney! Woop!! x

Shes such an inspiration..I’m not saying that healthy isnt in but even at a size ten you can see she’s a healthy girl… people don’t realize that not everyone can be a size 2.

OMG It is so sad that someone whos body is as nice as hers is considered plus size! She has definition and curves which is something that should be the new standard of beauty. Curves are sexy! Not bones showing! Make the change to see ourselves as beutiful even if we are not a xtra small!
All women can be beautiful no matter what the size!!

what is this? She’s not plus size!! She is very beautiful. charlene was right…she has a really nice shape. So many people out there would die to have her body. I admire her for being able to say “I’m beautiful no matter what the ‘cookie cutter’ model thinks.” If I was a designer I’d be proud to have her wear my label.

i think that this truly is inspiring. not everybody can be a size 6. i am someone who works out EVERY DAY!i run, lift weights, do yoga, everything! i am a size 10 at 5’8 and i think as long as you try and be healthy and take care of yourself it doesnt matter if your not a size 6. go Whitney =]

she is stunning! she was my fav from day one! ye she’s bigger than the other gals but she had the best figure form them all, ppl like her make dresses much nicer. its better to see curves in a dress then a stick. im smaller than her though i love my curves. i dnt diet so i dnt lose them n have found her an inspiration! i remember wantin toccara to win cos she was beautiful but i guess it wasnt the “right time” for a plus size model.

whit deserved it n hope she opens doors for all those beautiful plus size girls who feel they dnt have what it takes!

Wow. She is my role model. She is so gorgeous. And, yes I DO know it was rigged but she took the most amazing photographs so I think she would have won anyways.

    rofl
She’s a size 8, women who are actually “plus sized” bust their asses to get down to a size 8.
I just lost 40 pounds and am now a size 10, so what does that make me… obese?
I find it disgusting that people act shocked when they see a model that’s the size of a normal woman. Not “plus sized”, normal.

I don’t understand the phase “real woman”. I didn’t hit 100 lbs until i was a freshman in college, and I’m a real woman, i take up space and contribute to society, and i have a vagina. I think that people should stop criticizing people for being thin, most thin women are naturally thin, so get over yourself and quit whining about how thin women aren’t real women, we are real women, just easier to pick up.

@Julia, did you just call thin girls easy?

No, she didn’t call thin girls easy.

She said “we are real women, just easier to pick up” meaning easier to physically lift and carry around.

For instance, I’m naturally very thin and quite often my boyfriend will pick me up or on occasion piggyback me home lol, which he wouldn’t be able to do if I was that much bigger.

So no, she didn’t call thin girls easy, she merely meant it’s easier to physically pick up and lift thin girls because they weigh a lot less. She’s also incredibly right, girls can never just be thin these days, because OF COURSE if you’re thin then you’re anorexic or bulimic or blah blah blah… There’s never any possibility of just being naturally thin.

Actually you misunderstood her and second, I totally agree with her. This people get made fun of all of the time actually if you think about it more because 99% of people are not thin. I think that it doesn’t matter what size you are only that you are healthy. Mostly though people who are extra on the big side are not healthy and you can tell a healthy thin girl from a non healthy one.

So stop taking up for the big girls and belittling the thin ones people!

P.S, I really do think most of the big girls out there are unhealthy. Just my opinion.
